Position overview
This role is responsible for planning and delivering student-focused programs and leading CPHR Alberta’s post-secondary engagement initiatives. The position serves as the primary contact for student members, business and HR students, faculty, and career advisors, while building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborating with the Manager, People & Post-Secondary Engagement, the role develops and executes engagement strategies, coordinates event logistics, and promotes the Association’s brand, products, and services through digital and in-person channels. The position also evaluates programs and processes to drive continuous improvement, supports research initiatives, contributes to departmental budgeting, and demonstrates ongoing professional growth through self-reflection and feedback.
What you will do
- Lead and deliver postsecondary engagement programs, including student events, information sessions, and outreach initiatives.
- Manage the Campus Ambassador Program, overseeing recruitment, training, coaching, and performance throughout the academic year.
- Function as the primary liaison with postsecondary institutions, students, faculty, career advisors, and key industry partners.
- Coordinate studentfocused initiatives such as the annual scholarship program, HRC West Case Competition, participate on Student Advisory and Post-Secondary Advisory Councils as needed.
- Monitor program effectiveness, support continuous improvement, and promote CPHR Alberta’s brand and student pathways to designation.
- Partner with marketing & communications strategists to ensure consistent, personalized messaging across all stakeholder touchpoints.
- Bring the CPHR Alberta brand to life at events-connecting with student members, business students, facility, partners, and the public to grow our community and amplify our impact.
- Champion teamwork and shared success by actively supporting colleagues and nurturing a positive, professional, and empowering team culture.
Requirements
What you bring to the role
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in areas such as stakeholder engagement, program coordination, event planning, or customer/member services.
- Experience working with postsecondary students, volunteers, or within a notforprofit environment is an asset.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple initiatives in a fastpaced environment.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment, onboarding, training, and coaching individuals or volunteers.
- Effective problemsolving, analytical, and decisionmaking skills with attention to detail.
- Highly organized, collaborative, and adaptable, with a professional approach to confidentiality and stakeholder relationships.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, virtual meeting platforms, and CRM systems.
We are looking for a full-time, temporary team member for the period May 19, 2026 to June 18, 2027. The successful applicant is someone who thrives on building strong relationships, is resourceful and meticulous, and brings a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset to every challenge. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to support events. Travel may also be required for event participation or stakeholder meetings.

Our team works a 37.5-hour condensed week, with flexible start and end times each day. We collaborate in the office on Wednesdays, work remotely the remaining weekdays, as well as enjoy Friday afternoons off.
